Power Efficiency and Environment Friendly Energies

Africa Power Forum is an annual event thought and conceived to answer the strategic challenges presented to operators in the electric power sector from North, Central and West African countries.

The 2007 edition of Africa Power Forum allowed over 300 representatives of 27 countries to discuss key issues related to power sector: Regional integration, interconnection, liberalisation, supply and public-private partnerships, are as many issues addressed in APF 2007. The first edition was hosted by the Moroccan Ministry of Energy and Mines and foreground operators like AREVA, SUEZ, TAQA, SIEMENS, …deposited their trust in APF.

Driven by the outstanding success of the 2007 edition, the 2008 edition of APF, which will be held in Marrakech on June 12th and 13th, will focus on Power Efficiency and Environment Friendly Energies and will gather over 400 representing government officials, operators, developers, equipment manufacturers, financial and legal advisors, consultants in the production and distribution of electric power.

Among the issues addressed in 2008 : the changing power environment, the challenges of an efficient production of power in Africa, the fundamentals of efficient financing, the distribution and consumption as a major bet for energetic efficiency, the role of equipment providers and environment friendly energies.
